Viola Davis and Cynthia Erivo are living life on the other side of the law in their upcoming film, ‘Widows.’
‘Widows’ centers on four women: Veronica (Davis), Alice (Elizabeth Debicki), Linda (Michelle Rodriguez) and Belle (Cynthia Erivo), married to criminals. Outside of that fact, the four women share nothing in common. However, that all changes when their husbands are all killed during a heist and the women inherit all their husband’s debt. They soon become allies to show that they are more than just a wife who sits on the sidelines. Veronica, Alice, Linda, and Belle decide to finish the heist that killed their husbands.

‘Widows,’ is a remake of the 1980s British TV series of the same name. Steve McQueen is directing the remake and co-scripted the thriller alongside Gillian Flynn. This film McQueen has made since his critically acclaimed film ’12 Years a Slave.’ The slavery drama won best picture at the 2014 Oscars. Critics have projected Widow’s to be one of McQueen’s biggest commercial hits to date.
Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, Daniel Kaluuya, Lukas Haas, Andre Holland and Brian Tyree Henry also star in this thriller.
20th Century Fox will release ‘Widows,’ which will be in theaters on November 16. Watch the first official trailer below.
