“She told me to lie down on the floor. She took my bottoms off and she said, ‘Be quiet.’ She went down on me.”
The traumatizing experience occurred the summer before she entered 5th grade. The girl was an older ‘cool girl’ who was staying at the same friend’s family’s friend’s house. “She was one of the cool girls,” Williams said in front of a black backdrop.”‘She made you want to feel like you were a grown-up.”
Williams remembers the older teen woke her out her sleep with a strange request. When it happened she didn’t know what was going on, and while it felt good, she knew it was wrong.
“I had no idea what it was, but I knew it felt good, but was also something that was not supposed to be happening.”
Unfortunately, she would never gain the courage to tell her parents what happened due to a family tragedy (“I saw my dad’s face and his face was gray. And I just found out that his brother had died”) that occurred as soon as she was reunited with her family.
Unfortunately the then-young girl didn’t realize the psychological damage that experience would have on her.
“It awakens your sexuality at an age where it shouldn’t be awakened. Had that not happened in my life and had I had an opportunity to have a normal courtship with a boyfriend at 16 or whatever… there wouldn’t have been that shame that was always haunting me. It made me more sexually promiscuous and more sexually curious at a younger age than I should have been.”
