Tasha Smith seems to be bringing her work home with her.
According to TMZ, the actress’ husband, Keith Douglas, was recently granted a restraining order against her because he’s fearful of his life. He claimed in the report she flies into booze-fueled rages and has threatened to kill him on multiple occasions. She’s recited these threats in front of his five children and he’s fled to escape her wrath.
Smith’s most notable character is Angela Williams. Angela is the alcohol dependant, angry wife from Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married? that later inspired the filmmaker to create the TV show, For Better or Worse after her character. In the show and movie, Smith’s fictional persona does crazy antics similar to what Douglas has described in his police report.
Being that both Douglas and Smith still reside in the same house, the restraining order forces Tasha to keep a two yard distance at home and 100 yards distance outside their house. The couple met in 2009 and wed in 2010. Douglas is also her manager and she’s stepmother to his five children.
A rep Tasha Smith denies she has an alcohol problem and this ruling will remain in affect until they have a hearing.
