Gwen Stefani’s an Emoji-Filled Conversation in ‘Spark the Fire’

Almost 10 years after her solo hit “Hollaback Girl,” the No Doubt front woman reunites with Pharrell Williams for  “Spark the Fire.” Looking like an emoji-filled text message as Gwen dances in an underground club as her lyrics and accompanied emojis appear on the screen.

“It’s kind of a clash of this punk rock, kind of old-school feeling, club feeling,” Gwen told ABC News, “but [with] this really modern emoji world, and it just looks really cool together.”

Before releasing her Sophie Muller-directed music video today, last night Stefani and Pharrell performed “Spark The Fire” on The Voice.

Her upcoming solo album—a first in eight years—will be released later this month. Until this press play to watch Gwen’s emoji visual.
