RIAA Deems ‘Beyonce’ album Double Platinum

2014 is shaping up to be Beyonce’s most unpredictable year yet.

Her 2013 surprise ‘Beyonce’ album project is certified double platinum deemed by the RIAA. In a tweet @chartnews announced her latest accolade, “US album sales: @Beyonce, Beyoncé 2,003,000.”

We’re not surprised Bey reached this achievement. It’s more so what took her so long. The megastar made history on Dec. 13, 2013 with the release of her self-titled efforts. Breaking the internet and pausing the world, she released her ‘Beyonce’ album—with an accompanied video per song—sans any marketing tactics. Changing the music game forever, Beyonce album has already well surpassed her previous recording, “4.”

She’s since released “Flawless,” “Drunk in Love,” and “Partition,” before concluding her “Mrs. Carter World Tour” and embarking on her currently dual “On The Run Tour” with her hubby Jay Z.

Just another reason she topped Forbes’ most powerful celebrity list.
