These days Bill Cosby appreciates all the support he can get. As the list of alleged assault, rape, and fondled women grows, his list of supporters lengths as well. This week it was the matriarch of the Huxtable household, Clair Huxtable (Phylicia Rashad) and the youngest fictional daughter Rudy, (Keshia Knight Pulliam) that broke their silence in support of their fable family member.
Keshia has been on a media tour following her elimination from Celebrity Apprentice. Much of the reason she was first to be given the boot had to do with her refusal to call Bill Cosby for financial donation. She stopped by Wendy Williams where she went in-depth as to why she didn’t call him, “For me to pick up the phone, having not talked to [him] for five years, except for when we run into each other for a Cosby event, I feel that’s not my place to do.”
However when asked about the allegations that surrounds her former father, the child star is affirmative on her stance of innocent until proven guilty.
“None of us were there; there are two sides to a story, and we are in America, and it is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law—It’s a horrible situation however you slice it, but I feel that once the dust settles, then people will recognize how much he’s given to our society with all of his work. You can’t take that away.”
