We’re sure you’ve binge watched the entire second season of Orange is the New Black and now have a case of withdrawal. How do we know? We, personally, spent 13 hours at Litchfield Penitentiary engulfed in the life on the inside.
However Refinery 29 wants to ease your separation anxiety by stealing some beauty tricks from Crazy Eyes. Well her real life persona Uzo Aduba. Unraveling her bantu knots and slabbing bold lipstick (not made from Kool Aid) on her picture ready face, the star of the Netflix hit show dished the deets on her beauty and fashion.
“I love Make Up For Ever. I love Illamasqua — their foundation. I love colors on the lip; I just started doing red. That is new to me. I love berries and juicy colors.”
Much ado to her fashion icons, the crazy but tough inmate in the beige jumpsuit turns is a fashionista girly girl when the cameras turn off.
“Denise Huxtable [Lisa Bonet]—she’s incredible. Naomi Campbell—too, she is fierce. Beyoncé, of course. She is slaying it right now.”
And as far as her signature bantu knots go, they unravel as soon as they say cut. “I used to wear them [in real life], but I had to stop wearing them because that attention as Suzanne made me want to stop. I take them out when we finish shooting.”
