Today (9/11) marks a day that’ll never be forgotten. A day that killed too many but also brought the nation together as a whole. However its not an official federal holiday.
Yes we acknowledge 9/11 as the National Day of Service and Remembrance, but with little to no efforts like the other sabbaticals. There’s no day taken off like Christmas or Presidents Day and there’s no spike in sales like them either.
This like many other days should be celebrated the same way we do other significant events that changed the course of our future.
Today is 9/11, a day in United States history that’ll never be forgotten. Why its not a revered national holiday is interesting.
