Officer Nakia Jones released a passionate video on Facebook addressing police on black violence while telling her black youth to stop killing one another.
Jones, who has been a cop since 1996 and is currently an officer with the Warrensville Heights Police Department, said she watched the footage of Alton Sterling’s murder multiple times before addressing it on Facebook.
In the video, which has since gone viral, Officer Nakia Jones condemns prejudice officers in blue.
“How dare you stand next to me in the same uniform and murder somebody! How dare you! You ought to be ashamed of yourself!
She says before telling the cops with a “God complex” who are “afraid of people that don’t look like you,” to take off their uniform because they have no business being a police officer.
“There’s many of us that would give our life for anybody! We took this oath and we meant it! If you are that officer that’s prejudice, take the uniform off and put the KKK hoodie on because I will not stand for that!”
Nakia Jones didn’t just address her fellow in blue but the black youth as well.
“Put the guns down. The most powerful, feared person in the world is an intelligent, black man. Men, I need for y’all to stand up. Get these young men. Mentor them. Teach them.”
