Wiz Khalifa celebrated July 4th early this year.
Khalifa threw a heavy hitters party for the “We Dem Boyz Remix.”
Not letting Puff Daddy, Meek Mill, and French Montana’s remix outshine his original track, he drops the official “We Dem Boyz Remix”. Grabbing the best of all coast (including his own) Wiz has Nas represent for New York, Cali swag with Schoolboy Q, and the southern love with Rick Ross.
Opting out of the original beat for a more relaxed vibe, each emcee brings the heat after the slowed-down catch phrase “Hold up, hold up, we dem boyz/ Hold up, hold up, we makin’ noise,” echoes on the new track.
In a trance like atmosphere, Rick Ross starts off with his cocky comparison of a legend like the Beetles, (“b—ch we the them boys, n—a we the Beetles.”) Before Schoolboy keeps the momentum up with his quicker style and lyric, “n—as throwing shots but I dodge them all, you can’t touch this, don’t believe my name involved to some duck shit.”
Next up is the G.O.A.T who reminisces about his earlier days and name changes, “From the Don to Godson—Understand I shine before y’all time, I been outside when T. La Rock invented rhymes. when dinnertime and BBS’s on tinted Saabs, was gettin’ robbed.”
Making sure he has the last words, Amber Rose’s husband completes the new version with his under-the-influence rhymes, “Fresh up out a cell to the seats of private planes, roll at least an ounce a day, smoking weed is my escape,” he raps.
His upcoming album Blacc Hollywood drops August 19th, press play to see what’s in store on his latest project.
