Nicki Minaj is the queen of features.
Future’s the latest rapper to put the lyricist counterpart on a track for “Rock Star.”
After murdering Usher’s “She Came to Give it to You” and putting her signature raunch to Trey Songz’s “Touchin, Lovin” her collab with the new father is finally surfacing.
The DJ Clue-produced song samples George Michael’s ’80s hit “Careless Whisper,” and was supposed to be featured on the rapper’s album Honest. However the British icon did not clear it so it was left out.
Doing for the track, Future and Nicki, brag about their magazine covers, iced out jewelry and branding deals. Proclaiming his rock star life with the hook, “rock star life, the life we live” Ciara’s fiancé opens up the flashy record before Minaj takes over.
The femcee confidently raps about her ostentatious lifestyle, (“Million dollar show in India”) before getting explicit with her sexual advances, “If I was a n—a I would be getting my d—k sucked.”
Press play to listen to their self-titled rock star status.
