Lupita Nyong’o isn’t only changing Hollywood with her star appeal but also the fashion world.
After joining history with her Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress in 12 Years a Slave, Hollywood’s “it” girl, Lupita Nyong’o, made history with Lancome. In April the make-up brand landed entertainments most feted newcomer, making her their first black ambassador. Now she’s making her stunning debut.
To sound commercial cliche, the 31-year-old star looks “positively radiant” as she shows off their Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation (not that it was a trudging feat being as her skin is always picture perfect). She’s representing one of the 28 options they offer.
The French cosmetic brand was ecstatic to land the Yale graduate to represent their line of make up. They spoke highly of her in their revealing:
“She is an outstanding example of a natural beauty; confident and simply true to herself, she embraces life with freshness, citing happiness as the most attractive form of radiance.”
She was also hand-picked, the company’s boss, Francoise Lehmann, revealed furthering their notion to have her represent their brand.
Both talented and committed, true to her African beauty, and showing a great curiosity and open-mindedness in her career choices, Lupita is by essence the Lancôme woman
However they weren’t alone. The Kenyan actress was equally elated to join the elite list of celeb beauts—Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, Kate Winslet, and Lily Collins—that represent the brand giant.
“I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself.”
However when she posted it to her Instagram (which has garnered over 100k likes and counting) she kept the caption simple and sweet, “the secret I never intended to keep.”
