Tessa Thompson leads an all-star team for the indie love story Sylvie.
The film has a Notebook feel set to a jazz backdrop. Thompson stars as the titular character, Sylvie, and the film follows her summer romance with a saxophonist Robert, who works at her father’s record store in Harlem. Once the summer’s up, the two part ways and years pass. When they reconnect years later, their old feelings rush back and they realize their love for one another hasn’t died.
