Chris Brown is continuing his road to redemption with the first step: admittance.
Chris Brown covers Billboard in his first post-jail interview and he holds nothing back. Back to blonde, Breezy dons a fedora while exposing his tatted chest for his glossy print. The attention-grabbing quote from the singer reads: “Maybe I Was Out of Control.”
As he preps for his seriously delayed sixth album X—which is due on September 16—Brown becomes an open book for the music mag as he discusses “Rihanna, life behind bars, his growing faith and facing—finally—his demons in his first post-jail interview.”
The full interview will be out later today but an excerpt from it quotes him taken full responsibility for his actions and finally understanding the pivotal role his stardom has put him in.
“I realize that what I do for a living opens my life to public scrutiny and that I have a responsibility to everyone because of that exposure. I can say that I am only human and I have made mistakes. I can say that I try to live my life in the most true, honest way that I can. I am not perfect, no one is. No one is harder on me than me. No one can please everyone. No one can live in the past and expect to grow. I have been moving forward and hope that I am not defined by just a few moments in my life but all of the moments that will make up my life.”
We’re happy to see him staying clear out of trouble and focusing on bettering his life and delivering some music!
