Bridget Kelly has parted was with her label Roc Nation. The mills were churning that there was trouble in music paradise between the two and she told confirmed the rumors to Rap-Up.
“Honestly we needed to part ways. You outgrow situations sometimes,” she told the site at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards yesterday (June 26). “I still feel their love. They’re still people I confide in and people that I have a really strong personal relationship with, so in order to keep that intact we needed to just go our separate ways.”
After six years of being under Jay Z’s label, BK is a free agent.”It’s liberating to know that I can just go in with whoever and put anything out that I want to and say what I want to.”
Earlier this month she released two songs, “I Won’t Cry” and “Almost More,” both will be off her long overdue debut album due out September.
