Goodbye Bow Wow. Hello Shad Moss.
The 106th & Park Host is retiring his moniker “Bow Wow” after dropping the “lil” just a few years prior. Feeling all grown up as he reaches 30, the 27-year-old rapper reverts back to his government name, Shad Moss.
Bow Wow is all grown up and making some big changes. After over 20 years, the “106th & Park” host has decided to retire his stage name. But don’t worry he’s giving fans until the BET awards to lose the old name and incorporate his birth name into their vernacular.
“After BET awards i will no longer go by Bow Wow!” he announced via his Instagram. “Im going by my real name ‘Shad Moss’ we made alot of history as Bow Wow. Now its time for the next chapter and challenge.”
Snoop Dogg coined his stage name in 1993 and a lot has changed since he was a teen heartthrob. “Bow wow does not fit who I am today. “Ima father, business man, TV host, Actor, and rapper! Time for Mr. Moss to take over!” The rapper continued in his IG video.
