Black Workers Threatened to be Hung by Supervisor

Memphis Racist InterviewRacism is alive and running rampant. On the wake of the Janelle Ambrosia racist rant video going viral, two employees at the Atkinson Cotton Warehouse in Memphis, Tennessee are calling racist supervisor.

Antonio Harris and Marrio Mangrum are speaking out on the fear tactics their white supervisors used on them. Their superiors would call black employees, “monkeys,” tell them to “think like a white man,” and told to “kiss his white tail,” while exposing his butt to the workers.

In an interview with WREG in their current city, they revealed that after months of the ignorant treatment, Harris began recording his interaction with the white supervisors. In one recording he’s told he’s unable to use the microwave because he’s not white before his manager goes on a racist-filled rant about the good in segregation. In another recording when Antonio’s prevented from drinking from the water fountain because it’s “white only,” and if he disobeys the order, “that’s when we hang you,” the recording said.

With audio evidence both workers have filed discrimination complaints with the EEOC and the accused supervisor is still employed at the cotton plant.
