558th Police Killing: Celebs Voice Outrage Over Police Killing Alton Sterling [VIDEO]

A cellphone video captured the fatal shooting of a black father of five, Alton Sterling, outside of a Louisiana convenience store.

The graphic footage has since become viral. In the video it shows two Baton Rouge Police Officers approach Sterling, 37,  outside the Triple S Food Mart.

They tell Alton to “get on the ground, get on the ground” before one officer tackles the man and throws him on the hood of the car and then onto the ground. The second cop gets on top of the man to help pin him down before one of the two shouts, “He’s got a gun! Gun!”

They shoot him multiple times and he died from the gun wounds.

According to the Baton Rouge PD, the officers responded to the scene because it was reported that a black male in a red shirt was selling CDs and reportedly threatened the caller with a gun.

However according the store’s owner Abdul Muflahi, Alton Sterling didn’t appear to have a gun in his hand during the altercation. But he did see the officers remove a gun from the man’s pocket following the shooting.

The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave and an investigation is underway.
